World Language Mission Statement:
Our mission is to prepare our students to be global citizens and lifelong language learners. Our teaching aims to give students cultural sensibilities and a global perspective. We strive to provide all students with the foundations to become bilingual and adopt a global mindset. We encourage students to use their language skills outside the classroom, whether in the local community or abroad. We are dedicated to helping La Serna students broaden their perspectives by connecting them with travel abroad opportunities.

FIELD TRIPS
German Club takes a lot of field trips! In addition to our yearly trip to Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach, we have been to German concerts, a German Immersion Camp in Big Bear, and trips to local German restaurants. We also have an annual field trip to a university that offers German, such as participating in UC Irvine’s German Day or going to Cal State Long Beach to meet the head German professor.
