WHO WE ARE
We are a group of volunteer parents and caring community members dedicated to fostering collaboration between parents, teachers, and students, working together to support academic success, enhance school programs, and build a strong, united community. 
La Serna High PTSA was established in 1961 and is a tax-exempt organization as defined under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. 
 
WHAT WE DO
School Programs & Events
We support, host and sponsor many school events and programs that benefit our students, such as: Dia de Los Muertos, Kingdom Games, School Award Events, Boys 2 Men, Nacho Club, School Clubs, Sports Teams, Grad Nite, Senior Scholarships,, and much more.
 
Staff Support
We organize teacher and staff appreciation luncheons for most holidays. We are always ready to support staff for any school event where extra help might be needed
 
Fundraising
LS PTSA runs a “Student Store” that sells approved drinks and snacks during lunch. This is our main source of fundraising, and it would not be possible without our amazing volunteers.
Membership is another form of fundraising for the La Serna High PTSA. Currently, membership dues are $10 yearly and can be paid at any time during the school year. A portion of those funds are allocated to the National PTA, the California State PTA, and the District PTA. As such, dues-paying members are also members of the National PTA and the California State PTA.
In addition, the PTSA sells La Serna merchandise that is available to purchase during lunch time in our Student Store, online, and at special events.
 
If you would like to donate gift cards to Walmart, Sam's Club, Amazon or Costco, we would appreciate it. These cards help us buy snacks, drinks, and supplies for the Student Store and for items needed for special events.  You can drop these off in the Business & Activities office, or you can have your student drop them off in the Student Store during lunch.
