Summer School 2021

Summer courses are available to provide an opportunity to make up courses. There are a limited spaces and classes will fill quickly. Counselors schedule students based on need after 1st semester and reassess need through the end of the school year. If your child does not get into a class they need, they may to try to add a course on the first day, June 28th (classes begin at 8:30 a.m.). Many courses are currently full but space may become available if a student does not report on the first day. Please note that most classes are online - 9th grade Summer Bridge and certain Specialized Program courses are on campus.

 

Adding a Summer School Course

If you would like to add a summer school course, please call the Curriculum Office at Extension 6020. Please note that most summer school courses are full and availability will be determined by Day 1 attendance. A waitlist will be available. This does not apply to Summer Bridge Courses.

The following apply during summer school:

  1. Students who do not attend the first day of summer school, may be dropped.
  2. Attendance is a crucial aspect of summer school.  Course-work is condensed and entire units/topics are covered each period each day. Absences & lack of online participation make it a challenge to successfully complete summer school.  Please keep the teacher and office informed of any extenuating circumstances.
  3. The school discipline plan is in place during Summer School. Discipline problems are not tolerated. Going to Summer School is a privilege that can be revoked if a student's behavior does not improve after interventions.
  4. Our dress code will be strictly enforced
 

Students must access Google Classroom daily for all assignments and announcements. Parents and Students can use the Summer School Aeries portal to check attendance and grade progress.
