Summer School 2025

Summer courses are available to provide an opportunity for credit recovery. There are limited spaces and classes fill quickly. Counselors schedule students based on need after 1st semester and reassess need through the end of the school year. If your student does not get into a class they need, they may try to add a course on the first day of Session 1, June 9th and/or the first day of Session 2, June 30th.

Planned Session A Recovery Courses: PE (6 week session), English 1, English 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, World Civilization and US History

Planned Session B Recovery Courses: PE (3 week session), PE (6 week session), English 1, English 2, English 3, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Biology and World Civilization

Summer School Daily Bell Schedule

The following apply during summer school:

1. Students who do not attend the first day of summer school, may be dropped.
2. Attendance is a crucial aspect of summer school. Course-work is condensed and entire units/topics are covered each period each day. Absences & lack of participation make it a challenge to successfully complete summer school. Please keep the teacher and office informed of any extenuating circumstances.
3. The school discipline plan is in place during Summer School. Discipline problems are not tolerated. Going to Summer School is a privilege that can be revoked if a student's behavior does not improve after interventions.
4. Our dress code will be strictly enforced.
5. Students must wear their La Serna ID on a lanyard or clip.
