The award-winning nonprofit service has complemented and co-existed with commercial technologies to become the web’s largest and most popular volunteer recruiting platform. It serves 130,000 nonprofits, a million interested volunteers a month, and has generated over $40 million in mission-related revenue from its legacy corporate volunteering product YourMatch.

The overall goal of the Samuels Family LA-HIP is to provide students who identify as an underrepresented minority in medicine and science with the opportunity to learn hands-on laboratory-based research and to support them in their quest to become scientists or physician scientists. Eligible students are those who are applying in the Fall of their Junior year of high school, and who have a strong interest in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Youth Leadership Program

Casa Youth Shelter’s Youth Leadership Program (YLP) provides peer-to-peer and community-based outreach, while also developing leadership skills and fostering community engagement in young people. The program is designed for high school students and offers personal growth through community service, volunteer activities, and public awareness.

Since 2011, YLP has been an official chapter with the Orange County Department of Education Friday Night Live program. In 2016-17, YLP was honored as a Chapter of Excellence.
