A course in Commercial Photography encompasses a diverse range of topics and skills essential for success in the professional photography industry. Students can expect to learn how to use mirrorless Canon cameras, as well as Photoshop and Lightroom, to capture and enhance compelling images tailored to meet the specific needs of commercial clients. This includes mastering composition principles, elements of art & principals of design, lighting setups, and post-processing methods to produce high-quality photographs suitable for art galleries, advertising, marketing, and editorial purposes. Additionally, students will delve into the business aspects of commercial photography, such as client communication, project management, and pricing strategies. Throughout the course, hands-on practice, creative exploration, and critical feedback are typically emphasized to help students develop their unique style and excel in the competitive world of commercial photography.
 
In Digital Media/Video Production 1, students embark on an exciting journey into the world of digital media creation and video production. Throughout the course, they learn fundamental concepts and techniques essential for crafting engaging multimedia content. Students delve into the basics of video camera operation, mastering skills such as framing, composition, and exposure control. They explore the principles of storytelling, understanding how to structure narratives effectively and evoke emotions through visual storytelling techniques. Additionally, students gain proficiency in video editing software, learning how to assemble footage, add effects, and polish their projects to professional standards. Through hands-on projects and creative assignments, students develop their creative vision and technical abilities while honing their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
